There is nothing like the beauty of a hardwood floor. It provides character and charm to any room and never goes out of style. Besides the enjoyment and beauty of hardwood there are also many other benefits, such as the ease of cleaning, durability, hypoallergenic properties, and the long-term value it can add to your home. Hardwood floors are very easy to clean, with a light sweeping and a damp mop. For instance, it is much easier to wipe up a wine spill on hardwood, than it is on carpet. With the help of durable finishes, hardwood is a life-long choice that could be repaired or refinished down the road.
Solid wood floors can also last for a hundred years or more if cared for properly. Hardwood is also a natural product you can feel good about putting in your home, which can be sourced through sustainable harvesting. Hardwood is also great for people with allergies as it does not easily trap pollen, animal dander, or mold in any place to hide or cultivate. If you are looking to sell or might be thinking about it down the road, hardwood will always add value to your home. The best part is if you are not thinking about selling when the time comes, with proper care, your floors can maintain the natural beauty they had when they were installed.
When people hear the words “hardwood flooring,” they tend to automatically think of solid. Solid hardwood floors have been available for centuries, proving their durability and popularity. Over the years, however, another option, engineered hardwood, has taken a big share of the wood flooring industry.

Engineered Hardwood Floors:
Engineered hardwood is real wood with a solid top layer of hardwood. Beneath this veneer layer contains and engineered wood base which contains multiple layers of timber to make it more structurally stable and better able to handle moisture. Engineered wood floors can also be installed in some places where solid cannot, such as in below-grade levels (i.e., the basement). It’s important to know that like solid, engineered wood floors with a thick enough veneer can be refinished and real estate sales associates say they can legally market them as wood flooring adding value to your home. (NOTE: Thicker is better and it will affect how many times the floor can be sanded.)
Solid Hardwood Floors:
Classic and beautiful, hardwood floors have withstood the test of time. The planks are sturdy, environmentally friendly, classically beautiful, and can hold up to years and years of traffic. Simple refinishing or staining can completely reinvigorate the decor of your home, making them versatile and a worthwhile investment. With Hardwood Flooring made from natural products found all over the world, you are guaranteed to find a species and stain that works perfectly for your home’s unique needs!

Our professional crews strive for impeccable customer service, and can stain small areas in different colors to show you what your floors will look like based on the stain you choose.
